Louise Marie Kitterman, 80, of Ottumwa, died December 21, 2021 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa.
She was born February 3, 1941 in Ottumwa to Owen and Cecil Dickerson Fuqua. Louise married James Kitterman on April 10, 1960 and he preceded her in death on February 23, 1990. She married Lawrence “Larry” Kitterman on June 3, 1995 and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2015.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Louise had attended Indian Hills Community College and Iowa Success School. She had worked at Strawhacker Food Service, for Indian Hills Community College and then for Hormel and Cargill Meat Solutions for 30 years.
Louise was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Vonda) Kitterman and Kay (Don) Doud, both of Ottumwa; 4 grandchildren, Matt (Amanda) Kitterman, Mary Doud (Todd Zuehlke), Kathryn Kitterman and Michelle (Will) Munley; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, John Tarbell of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ben Kitterman; a brother, Owen Fuqua and a sister, Bonnie Ranes.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 23rd, at Reece Funeral Home. A Christian Wake service will be 6 p.m. Thursday, December 23rd at Reece Funeral Home followed by family greeting friends until 8 p.m. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 24th at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Patrick Hilgendorf presiding. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
